Down Time

Yesterday we got all the grades in. Whoo hoo! Summer semester is over for one school. I still have one class left at the other school. After that I hope to do something with my yarn. I promised Ceil a poncho out of Homespun, so I guess I need to make that before I can play with my other stuff. I am hoping to get something done during the Summer break.

She went ahead and did it

I tried to stop her, but my baby turned 18 anyway. Oh, well. I will survive. She thinks she is all growed up now, but we know different. She is going to Portales in August. What will I do with an empty nest? Fill it with yarn!!

I got caught

How embarrassing. The kid was in her room, minding her own business, and I was skulking around trying to hide from her. Unfortunately, she had a paper in her room I needed, so I went in. I tried to make it quick, but she caught me. She followed me to my room, sniffing the air.

"Mom, what have you been doing? I can smell it all over you! PICKLE JUICE!!"

I am in trouble now. I have been sucking pickle juice down like I am going to die without it. I swear I am trying to cut down, but, YUUMMMM, my mouth is watering for more.

Sheesh, it's not like it was booze or cigarettes. Just yummy pickle juice!

Homework and more homework

I got a lot of reading done over the 3-day weekend. Now I am running a day behind on everything else. Can't seem to remember what day of the week it is after a long weekend. Time is winding down on the Summer semester. Whoo hoo! I think I am over the mid-semester blahs and ready to get this over with.

One down, two to go

I finished up one class yesterday, got everything done. I still have 4 weeks on the Biology class, and the Theater Appreciation class starts Tuesday. I plan on spending the weekend reading so I won't be behind. It is kind of a relief to know I finished SOMETHING; hopefully the rest of the semester will go smoothly.
